The Manos Ministry
received a grant
from IEEE to
implement the
Brillantes/STEM
program in Danlí, Honduras
The Honduras Manos Ministry in conjunction with the UTSA’s College of Engineering and Integrated Design received a grant from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Petroleum and Chemical Industry Committee (PCIC) to continue promoting STEM programs in Honduras.
The Brillantes program is a STEM program designed by professors at UTSA and Texas State University with the goal of providing early science, technology, engineering and mathematics career awareness and related mathematics skill development and opportunities for students.
The Brillantes program will be launched in July 2023 for a third consecutive year with a new cohort of middle school students in Danlí, Honduras.
