About Me
Q. Name and Vocation?
A. My name is Stephany Melissa Flores. I have a degree in Nursing and work at a Clinical Laboratory where I take blood samples. I work with patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults.
When I had my baby, I wasn’t happy with how the doctors and nurses treated me as a patient. I felt that I could be a good nurse who would treat patients with respect and in a professional way.
Q. How did you find out about Manos?
A. I first met the Manos ministry when I was interviewed for a scholarship in the Manos de Dios church, which has been a great blessing!
Through this scholarship I was able to graduate with a degree in nursing and make my dream come true.
I help with the vision clinic whenever the Manos team visits Honduras on a mission trip, which makes me very happy as I was taught by the best professor in the world. I am referring to my friend Kevin Lee, who taught me so much throughout the years. I am eternally grateful I realized that this was my passion. God opened my eyes and made me realize that I needed to study something related to health.
Q. Favorite Quote?
A. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” - Colossians 3:23
Q. Fun Fact?
A. I enjoy listening to music, reading books, and spending time with my daughter and family.
