Meet Martha Celeste!

About Me

Q. Name and Vocation?

A. My name is Martha Celeste Espinoza and I am a dentist. I graduated from “La Universidad Católica de Honduras” (The Catholic University of Honduras) with a degree in dentistry.

Q. What has your involvement with Manos been like?

A. I have been part of the Manos de Dios scholarship program since I became eligible for the scholarship. I found out about it in 6th grade. It has been an experience of growth, learning, and service. Each activity has reminded me that we can serve in different ways, and God reveals Himself in everyone one of them.

Q. Favorite Quote?

A. Proverbs 3:27 “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.”

Q. Fun Facts?

A. I love anime (I’m an *otaku*, though I don’t look like one).

Martha Celeste has been an integral part of Manos as both a student and a leader. Her current work as a dentist with her own office reflects the achievement of years of hard work and dedication to her education. Her growth as an individual has allowed her to inspire her niece to join the Manos scholarship program as well, making Martha part of the “cascading” effect of education on communities. Most recently, Martha Celeste led the dental brigade during our January collaboration with the Niños de Montana organization, a testament to her commitment to give back to her community.

We love you Martha!
