The Manos de Dios Ministry is calling for applications for youth 18-30 years old to travel to Honduras in January 2023
WHAT: The Honduras Manos Ministry received a grant from the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas College Missions Council that will sponsor three college students to go to Honduras on a short mission trip with the Manos de Dios Team. The scholarship will cover the airline travel and per diem expenses (housing, food, and ground transportation) for a week in Honduras.
WHO: Young adults 18-30 years old
Interested in participating in a one-week mission trip to Honduras including:
Participating in various activities/ministries such as: educational workshops (nutrition, music, sewing, entrepreneurship, gardening, etc.), construction projects, Bible school with small children, ESL teaching, bilingual book club, soccer, vacation Bible school (VBS), etc.
Participating in everyday reflections with the rest of the team and attending church on Sunday.
Currently enrolled in an institution of higher education including: 2-year community college, four-year college, graduate school, seminary AND/OR currently actively involved as a volunteer/leader in their church and/or community in a social program or a ministry.
Spanish language skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
WHY APPLY: The Honduras mission trip is a one-in a life opportunity to build relationships and experience impacting the lives of others as well as yours, giving yourself the opportunity to test your leadership skills and getting to know yourself in an environment different than yours while serving others as part of the Manos de Dios team.
WHEN: The trip to Honduras will take place January 3-10, 2023.
WHERE: Honduras (flying to Comayagua International Airport) and working in the Danli and surrounding communities.
