Meet Nixia!

About Me

Q. Name and Vocation?

A. My name is Nixia Raquel González Castellanos. I graduated from the Universidad Catolica de Honduras with a degree in Computer Science in 2025. I am currently working as a computer science teacher at the “Centro Educativo Cristiano Bilingue El Mundo de los Niños”.  I have 320 elementary school students, and it has been a challenge memorizing their names.

Q. What has your involvement with Manos been like?

A. It has been a wonderful experience. The love, the friendship, the support, and above all, the unity as brothers and sisters in Christ, have filled me with joy and gratitude. I deeply thank Manos for believing in me, for accompanying me, and for being part of my life and my story.

Q. Favorite Quote?

A. “Don’t expect others to do the same for you as you do for them”

Q. Fun Facts? 

A. I am 4 foot 9 inches tall and sometimes shop in the kids’ shoe section.

Nixia has been an integral part of Manos de Dios for many years. Her presence has always been one of service to the church and her neighbor. This summer she served as an in-person instructor for our Manos Cyber Café project. We are grateful for her contributions and are blessed to know her. Thank you Nixia!
